Nice quiet spot just off of the main road. Acceptable coffee & a decent berry scone rounded out the visit. If I am in the area again I would definitely stop in.

The ownership in this place has gone back and forth a few times now. The prices keep going up but the food quality and ambience are going down. The coffee is pretty good but they ding you for an americano if you want a decaf. Used to be pretty cozy and friendly but now is more sterile.

From my experience with this Wired Monk (and it's quite a bit, since my friend and I visit this cafe frequently), it's a good cafe. The food is good, and I've never had a bad experience with a pastry or muffin (I, in fact, love this place because it's one of the only places that has a bran muffin sans raisins). The staff and owner have always been lovely. I don't think the bad review it has on here is warranted--likely it was a string of unfortunate single occurrences as a result of a new staff/owner/equipment etc. The only constructive comment I'd have is just a picky thing: I have trouble eating things without a drink, as food tends to stick in my throat and become painful. Here, it is often the case where I would get my food but receive my coffee as much as ten minutes later, thus in the meantime I can only stare hungrily at my cooling, delicious, raisinless muffin. I'd say, if you know the drinks are going to take a bit of time to make, try and time it so the food comes second.

All in all, a lovely little hangout with comfy chairs, music not so loud you feel it in your very bones, and (as I might have mentioned) a bran muffin with absolutely no raisins.

Super friendly, great selection of lactose and gluten free alternatives. My friends say the coffee is great, although I drink tea. Easy for parking too

Overpriced and hit or miss coffee. Friendly staff and quiet cafe. My drink tasted burnt and the milk was poorly steamed. Not nearly as many pastries offered as before. Sandwichs range from $9-$13. Gluten free bread is available but not worth paying extra on an already overpriced sandwich.
