  A few visits later, it was time for me to get my first cavity filled. (Not something I was looking forward to.) My heart was racing and all of the bad experience feelings came flooding in and brought me back to my childhood. This was quickly dispelled by Dr. Cesar. She came in and explained everything and reassured me that everything was going to be fine. She wasn't worried at all, and her amazing sense of calm actually transferred to me and I was instantly at ease. I was right to trust her and her team; The freezing was painless, the fillings were painless, and even after the freezing wore off, I didn't feel a thing. It was almost like it didn't happen! In fact, when I left the office after it was over, I felt a little silly for being so scared in the first place. Again, there was absolutely no pain during the whole process, just a few noises, weird smells and a little bit of pressure, but nothing to be scared about.

  So now that you've read my previous experiences, let me tell you about my experience with Bourquin. I called them, got my appointment scheduled, their receptionist is AMAZING. Very kind. I filled in my paperwork, e-mailed it back to them. When I arrived, they were very kind, incredibly understanding. They kept me calm the entire time. I got 3/4 of my mouth done in one go, at a fraction of the price of the previous places. I then came back a couple of days later to get the other 1/4 done. I now have a few cavities to deal with, but I'm not worried at all about them. I'm sure that when we start working on them, they'll keep me calm. More so, I'm confident in them, and that they're not going to do anything that's going to hurt me, and that their work is quality.

  I've been to other dentists in the lower mainland. One in particular, I won't name, I thought was great, but were over charging me like mad, for things I didn't really need. And my cleanings were taking 3+ trips, and I was told my teeth were in much worse shape than they were. I was even getting local anesthetic for my cleanings.

  I highly recommend Dr. Caroline Y. Cesar. Her and her staff are all amazing, warm heated, caring, compassionate people. They honestly make you feel like family when you visit them. I've you're looking to conquer your dentist fear like I did, this is where you should go.

  As of right now, I've got nothing but praise for them. I would recommend them to ANYBODY with a phobia of needles. Thank you Bourquin Dental Center for helping me work through my fears and start seeking medical attention again. If this keeps up, soon I'll be able to go to the doctors, hospitals etc, without as much fear and anxiety. Baby steps.

  I had not been to the dentist since I was a child, and those visits were always filled with anxiety and a strong fear of needles. A few years ago, I had an old filling that fell out and the house tooth proceeded to break apart in it's absence. My fear forced me to just leave it for years with pain and discomfort.

  After my first visit with Dr. Cesar, my fears were conquered. Not only did her and her staff make me feel totally comfortable, they made the experience at the dentist a fun one. Every step of the way, they explained, reassured, cracked little jokes, checked in with me and made 100% sure I was comfortable. Since my last exam and cleaning was such a long time ago, they were super patient and gentle the entire time., even willing to take as many breaks as I needed.

  Like MANY people, I'm a needlephobe. I hate the idea of them, the look, the smell(?). I get anxiety just thinking I might ever have to get one. I did some reviews, found out that the Bourquin Dental Center had a lot of success with people who suffer from needle phobia, and decided, enough was enough, I'm going to get my teeth looked at.
